AIX and Linux

  1. Restore a single file to original location
    # dsmc restore /absolute/path/to/file
    ex: # dsmc restore /root/file.txt
  2. Select files to restore to another location
    # dsmc restore </absolute/path/to/file/directory> -pick -inactive </absolute/path/to/restore/directory/> (Note: The last slash in the restore directory is necessary.)
    pick> <choose the number of the file you wish to restore>
    pick> o
  3. Point in time restore of all files to original location
    # dsmc restore -pitdate=MM/DD/YYYY -pittime=HH:MM:SS /absolute/path/to/directory
    ex: dsmc restore -pitdate=01/31/2017 -pittime=01:00:00 /root/file.txt
