Restoring Data from the command line

AIX and Linux

  1. AIX
    1. # /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin64/dsmc
  2. Linux
    1. # /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsmc
  3. tsm> restore </absolute/path/to/file/directory> -pick -inactive </absolute/path/to/restore/directory/> (Note: The last slash in the restore directory is necessary.)
  4. pick> <choose the number of the file you wish to restore>
  5. pick> o
  6. Verify that the restore completed successfully.
