Replacing SDD FC Adapter
- Identify the faulty adapter name:
- # lsdev -Cc adapter | grep fcs
- Identify the faulty adapter number in the SDD configuration:
- # datapath query adapter
- Remove the adapter from the SDD configuration:
- # datapath remove adapter <adapter number>
- Remove the adapter from the ODM:
- # rmdev -Rdl /dev/fcs#
- Use the Hot Plug Manager in the Hot Plug Task menu of diag.
- Identify the new WWNN on the adapter and the LUNS:
- # lscfg -vpl fcs#
- Run config manager to rediscover the paths and LUNS:
- # cfgmgr -vl fcs#
- Add the paths to SDD:
- # addpaths
- Verify the LUNs have the same number of active paths:
- # datapath query device
- # datapath query adapter
