Create an alt_disk_install copy of rootvg (3x mirror)
- # syncvg -v rootvg
- # unmirrorvg rootvg <hdisk #>
- # reducevg rootvg <hdisk #>
- # chpv -c <hdisk #>
- # chvg -Qn rootvg
- # bosboot -ad <hdisk0>
- # bootlist -m normal <hdisk0>
- Use either alt_disk_install or alt_disk_copy
- # alt_disk_install -C -B -V <removed hdisk#>
- # alt_disk_copy -d <removed hdisk#> -B -V
- # syncvg -v rootvg
- Mirror rootvg:
- Using mirrorvg to automatically create copies:
- # mirrorvg -S rootvg hdisk1
- Manually create logical volumes if mirrorvg fails:
- # mklvcopy <lv name> 2 hdisk1
- Using mirrorvg to automatically create copies:
- # syncvg -v rootvg
- # bosboot -ad hdisk0
- # bosboot -ad hdisk1
- # bootlist -m normal hdisk0 hdisk1
- Verify the bootlist contains hdisk0 and hdisk1
- # bootlist -m normal -o
Remove the altinst_rootvg (3x Mirror)
- Use either the alt_rootvg_op or alt_disk_install to remove the alternate rootvg.
- # alt_rootvg_op -X altinst_rootvg
- # alt_disk_install -X altinst_rootvg
- # extendvg -f rootvg <hdisk#>
- # mirrorvg -c3 rootvg <hdisk#>
- # bosboot -ad hdisk0
- # bosboot -ad hdisk1
- # bosboot -ad hdisk#
- # bootlist -m normal hdisk0 hdisk1 hdisk#
- Verify the bootlist contains hdisk0 and hdisk1
- # bootlist -m normal -o
Boot to altinst_rootvg
- # bootlist -m normal <hdisk containing altinst_rootvg
- # shutdown -r now
